Expert Agreement

1. Your Relationship with Ecom Roster
By joining Ecom Roster as an Expert, you agree to operate as an independent contractor. You are not an employee, partner, or agent of Ecom Roster. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and compliance with applicable laws.
2. Platform Fees
Ecom Roster charges a 20% platform fee on all bookings made through the platform. You receive 80% of the booking amount. Payments are processed through our payment provider and transferred to your account according to our payment schedule.
3. Professional Conduct
As an Expert, you agree to:
- Show up on time for scheduled consultations
- Provide professional, honest, and helpful advice
- Maintain confidentiality of client business information
- Respond to booking requests within 48 hours
- Give at least 24 hours notice for cancellations when possible
4. Cancellations & No-Shows
If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or fail to show up for a scheduled consultation without notice, the client will receive a full refund. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in removal from the platform.
5. Confidentiality
You agree to keep all client business information confidential. This includes revenue figures, strategies, supplier information, and any other sensitive business data shared during consultations. This obligation survives termination of your Expert account.
6. Non-Circumvention
You agree not to solicit clients met through Ecom Roster to work with you outside the platform to avoid platform fees. If you wish to work with a client outside the platform, you must obtain written permission from Ecom Roster.
7. Your Advice & Liability
You are solely responsible for the advice you provide. Ecom Roster does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of your recommendations. You agree to hold Ecom Roster harmless from any claims arising from your consultations.
8. Content & Recordings
If consultations are recorded (with consent of both parties), both you and the client may retain copies for personal reference. Neither party may publicly share recordings without written consent from the other party.
9. Account Termination
Ecom Roster may suspend or terminate your Expert account at any time for:
- Violation of these terms
- Consistently poor client reviews
- Fraudulent or deceptive behavior
- Extended inactivity (no bookings for 6+ months)
You may deactivate your account at any time by contacting support. Outstanding payments will be processed according to the normal payment schedule.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
